Labour enjoyed a historic 2024 Parliamentary session that included the implementation of Bill C-59 and the Investment Tax Credits, Bill C-50 and the Sustainable Jobs Act, and Bill C-58\u2019s federal ban on replacement workers, laying a foundation of regulatory-focus on Canada\u2019s workers and setting the stage for a prosperous 2025 legislative session.\u00a0<\/span><br \/><br \/><span class=\"ui-provider a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z ab ac ae af ag ah ai aj ak\">While we anticipate a busy season unlocked by the Investment Tax Credits, our work isn&#8217;t done yet. We are reenergizing our call with federal stakeholders to support Canada&#8217;s tradespeople by celebrating the unparalleled skill\u00a0and the opportunity we have to continue leading the transition towards a net-zero economy. This fall, we are laser-focused on bringing balance back to the Temporary Foreign Worker Program so that no Canadian worker is displaced by cheap, foreign labour, and on re-instating the Apprenticeship Incentive Grant to help offset the upfront costs for apprentices joining the skilled trades.<\/span><br \/><br \/><span class=\"ui-provider a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z ab ac ae af ag ah ai aj ak\">Together we can make a difference, so let&#8217;s honour this weekend and use the momentum from our successes to drive forward even more progress this 2025 Parliamentary session.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Labour Day is a time of year to look back at the successes we&#8217;ve experienced, and set new focus for the year ahead.
