While change can bring challenges, it also presents an opportunity for renewed leadership and a fresh approach to the issues that matter most to working Canadians.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We extend our thanks to the ministers who have stepped down, including Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, for their dedication and service to Canadians. The hard work in their respective portfolios has helped guide our country through challenging times, and we appreciate their contributions to shaping policies that have supported tradespeople across the nation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the government moves forward with new leadership in key roles, including Minister Dominic Leblanc for finance and Minister Steven MacKinnon for Employment and Workforce Development, we look forward to continuing our strong partnership with those who will carry these critical responsibilities. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The upcoming changes provide a chance to focus on the future, and Canada\u2019s Building Trades Unions are committed to collaborating with the new leadership to build a sustainable, fair, and prosperous future for all Canadians. We are optimistic that, under this renewed leadership, we can continue to advance key priorities such as robust infrastructure investments, skills development, safe working conditions, and fair wages.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;We welcome the new leadership within Canada\u2019s federal cabinet and look forward to working collaboratively with the incoming ministers to continue strengthening Canada\u2019s workforce and economy,\u201d<\/strong> shared executive director, Sean Strickland.<strong> \u201cCanada\u2019s Building Trades Unions stands ready to engage with the new leadership to drive policies that create good, sustainable jobs, improve infrastructure, and ensure safe working conditions for all Canadians.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cA heartfelt congratulations to Minister Steven MacKinnon who added to his Labour portfolio by picking up the Employment and Workforce Development files,\u201d Strickland continued. \u201cUnder his guidance, we are confident we can build a brighter future for workers and their families across the country.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are confident that the incoming leadership will bring forward new opportunities to strengthen Canada\u2019s economy and workforce, while addressing the challenges of today.
