Minister Freeland\u2019s leadership has been instrumental in advancing policies that have supported workers across the country, including those in the construction and trades sectors. Her unwavering commitment to building a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable economy has created opportunities for countless Canadians, especially those in high-skill trades who play a critical role in shaping the future of our nation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUnder her guidance, we saw significant investments in infrastructure through the Investment Tax Credits which promotes prevailing wages, and a forward-thinking approach to climate action that prioritizes the needs of workers while ensuring a transition to a greener economy,\u201d<\/em><\/strong> shared CBTU executive director, Sean Strickland. \u201cDuring her tenure, we also saw critical advancements like the doubling of the Tool Tax Deduction, and the Labour Mobility Tax Deduction, to keep money in our members\u2019 pockets. Minister Freeland\u2019s vision for a strong, resilient middle class aligns with our values and goals for the workers who are the backbone of Canada\u2019s construction industry.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe also recognize her efforts to foster collaboration and partnership between government, business, and labour organizations, ensuring that working people had a seat at the table during the decision-making process,\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Strickland continued. <\/p>\n\n\n\n As she moves on to new challenges, we thank her for her tireless work and wish her continued success.
